Esteemed Star Pat Finn, Known For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Dies at 60 Years Old.

Stateside actor Pat Finn, who was seen in iconic television series including Friends, Seinfeld and "The Middle", has succumbed at 60 years old.

The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in LA recently having undergone treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, per news outlets.

"He never met a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his relatives stated in a message.

They noted that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".

An Extensive Career on Screen

His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.

He was also seen in a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.

He appeared as Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, playing a host who would assign tedious tasks to his guests.

In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on numerous hit series, such as:

  • King of Queens
  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • House

Finn was perhaps best known for playing Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight series over nearly a decade.

His film credits encompass "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".

Off-Screen Life

Outside of his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was part of a six-member improv team called Beer Shark Mice.

"Finn coached, befriended and mentored countless students over the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.

Paying homage, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," he shared publicly.

Pat Finn is leaves behind his wife Donna, his children, and his family.
