In a commanding performance, the English national team wrapped up a further win against Albania, with multiple squad members producing notable performances on the pitch.

Starting Eleven

Dean Henderson Not a save to perform in the first half before forced to intervene from Arbër Hoxha’s curled attempt. His sliding challenge against Qazim Laci highlighted sharp game intelligence. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Examined against Albania’s primary attacker through their forward. Operated more centrally early on later drifted out wide once Saka came on. 7/10

John Stones Advanced forward on the ball, as he has done before. On occasion seemed hesitant in possession and the experiment discontinued at half-time. Six

Dan Burn A nuisance at set pieces, typically, perhaps is a replacement to his teammate at the back as opposed to alongside him. One wayward pass after the break almost led to the first goal for Albania. 6/10

The young full-back A further assured display by the 20-year-old following his initial appearance versus Serbia. A teammate was unable to take full advantage of a clever backheel over their defense. The role looks secure so soon. 7/10

Adam Wharton His first start with the national team. Slightly loose when playing out but his dangerous set-pieces posed a danger. A useful tempo-setter available to the boss to have against teams who drop deep. Shown a yellow after a reckless tackle. 6

Declan Rice Deliveries on corner kicks and free kicks were dangerous. Was given freedom to roam down the left flank yet found himself in an offside position as the pass came in front of goal. Granted a well-earned rest after an hour. 6

The star midfielder Functioned in a forward spot down the right and put in defensive duties. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance but scuffed an effort wide. Substituted towards the end for Rogers, a fellow player, following a yellow card. 7

The winger Was presented with England’s best chance of the first half, his strike excellently kept out by Thomas Strakosha. As Quansah staying deep, he had to provide width on the right but his crosses from the touchline varied in quality. Replaced with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his two more finishes in an England shirt. The first a typical close-range tap-in while the second a classy headed goal after peeling away away from the opposition. Now 32, he’s only getting better and England are strong contenders next summer when he's in the team. 8

The attacker Struggled to make an impact from the left. Had a decent opportunity when set up by Bellingham yet Strakosha kept it out. Rashford had a greater effect when substituted. Five
