Loyal followers of the pop star are urging that a individual who jumped a barricade and grabbed the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the Australian man bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile contains clips of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more comment on Instagram.

Several fans also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.
